2024 SUSSEX WELLESLEY SCRATCH KNOCKOUT

Our Sussex Wellesley Scratch Knockout came to a conclusion on Saturday 7th of September, which was brilliantly hosted by Crowborough Beacon Golf Club.

The scratch knockouts are always fiercely contested over the summer and is no easy feat to reach the finals.

The final results of the matches can be seen below:

SUSSEX WELLESLEY SCRATCH KNOCKOUT TROPHY

Pyecombe GC and Haywards Heath GC had a very tight morning, finishing the morning foursomes 2.5-1.5 to Pyecombe. The afternoon singles brought some intense games with Pyecombe ultimately taking the Win 8.5-3.5. Well done to the victors for defending the trophy for a second year and to all those that took part in the knockout this year.

SUSSEX WELLESLEY SCRATCH KNOCKOUT PLATE

East Sussex National GC put down a large gap of 4-0 in the morning between themselves and Seaford GC. In the afternoon singles Seaford clawed some points back but unfortunately not enough with East Sussex National taking the victory 9-3. Congratulations to East Sussex National on the win and well done to all of those that took part in the final and rounds prior.

The finals proved to be a great day with lots of good golf, good company and good food. A special thanks to our scratch knockout sponsors Wellesley. We look forward to the competition next year.
